Chest Fever: Celebrating 55 Years of the Band! (85% sold out!)

The Band left a timeless legacy of unforgettable music that is permanently etched in the hallowed halls of American music history. Chest Fever recreates this music while exploring the vast catalog steeped in storytelling, told through the prism of the American Mythos and the cosmic spirit of the West Coast – from The Band and Bob Dylan’s collaborative home recordings, The Basement Tapes, through Music From Big Pink and The Last Waltz. The stories, legend, and community of The Band live on through the passion and magic of Chest Fever: Jody Bagley (keyboards), Dan Cervantes (guitar), Ben Pinnola (organ and sax), Blake Dean (bass), and Allan Ritter (drums).
You might hear the tunes of the Misery Mountain Boys drifting from behind a rotating bookcase of a 1930’s speakeasy. Harkening back to a simpler time, the MMB’s create a collaborative soundscape infused with tongue in cheek wit, playfulness, and nostalgia. With a mix of catchy originals and contemporary songs reimagined in driving swing, the band’s performance delivers as both classic and fresh, offering a generous variety of sweaty jazz numbers, velvety love songs, and swingin’ jump-blues.
